WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
I tend to be influenced by anything around me. If you asked me what writers I feel have shaped me I could rattle off a list that would include: Truman Capote, Virginia Wolf, Jack Kerouac, Harper Lee, Neil LaBute, Sarah Ruhl and so many more. I like people who ask big questions. I feel I am influenced by people that explore what it means to weave words like puzzle pieces in order to make some understanding of it all, but honestly, I cannot answer what my influences are, because I think they are more subconscious and varied than that. Every experience I have had has influenced me in some way, every artist I have ever worked with and person I have met, even if I do not know it.
WHAT DO YOU FIND INSPIRING?
I am inspired by the idea of a thought. I love to explore what it means to think something, to create a tangible item out of imagination and experiences. I tend to be inspired by the exploration of the unknown, the unexplored and the untouchable.
TELL US A FUNNY STORY ABOUT YOURSELF.
I am often existing in multiple thoughts and that can cause some damage at times. Once I was running from my car to my apartment door, because of something inconsequential. I ran into an old fashioned metal doctors signage pole that has ALWAYS been in my front yard, and knocked myself unconscious. I woke up a few minutes later concussed. Yes, I ran into a pole.
